Help with TT GO 6000 and connecting to MyDrive

I have a new TT Go 6000. I run Windows 10 on a desktop and all my other devices run fine. I installed TT MyDrive and logged in all ok. I then connected my new TT 6000 and windows installed the drivers for it - the device appears correctly in 'Network Adapters' as 'Tom Tom 6000' - it also shows in 'Devices and Printers' as a TT GO 6000 in the "Unspecified" category.... but no matter what I do I can't get MyDrive to see the TT unit and connect/talk to each other....

I clicked on the link in MyDrive that says "click here if nothing is happening" and have both deleted the driver and the MyDrive app and re-installed both app first. but still nothing.

I then tried a laptop running Window 10 - same process and Bingo! all worked fine and as expected....

So, has anyone else had issues getting the device and app to talk to each other? what was the fix?
