The traffic bar usually takes a little time before it pops up. It also only shows up when inside a coverage area, (ie finds a radio station broadcasting Suna traffic data) and disappears when outside the coverage area.

This is the area Suna covers in Melbourne.

Here is a list of the radio stations broadcasting SUNA traffic in Melbourne. You could try using the 'manual tune' option under the tomtom services/traffic menu... But If you are inside the coverage area, it should find automatically.

Anyone having problems with the latest QuickGPSFix? I received an e-mail from TomTom saying there was an important update for my device which was QuickGPSFix. Since installing it, the satnav has crashed a few times, either freezing or rebooting, normally when trying to replan a route. I've rolled back to a copy I had when I first installed my 7250 and it was OK on my way home where the updated version crashed. I don't follow the satnav for the last bit of the journey to avoid a level crossing, and when I was deviating, it was crashing during the replanning.

Maybe something on this "official" (if you know what I mean) TT forum?

Sorry, but I'm a bit brain-dead at the moment and not following your comment. Are you suggesting the latest version of QuickGPSFix is not playing well with our navcore? That would be a pity as I've been updating successfully up to now.

and you'll see quite a few people are having current problems with it.

Personally I think many put too much sway on this as all it does is "apparently" speed up the initial "fix" once you turn your device on but if you use your device regularly, or are willing to give it a minute or so, you'll get the fix anyway....simples!

Thanks. I was searching on quickgpsfix and not quickfix. Having said that, nothing points to crashing satnavs

I might wait a bit and try updating again. It is easy to roll back if I need to. I just lose my favourites.

    I don't know any Europe_966_7443 or Europe_966_7472. Only this:

Both not for Mazda, Europe_xxxx_966_7443 and Western_Europe_1GB_966_7443 for NC 7.8xx and above, Europe_xxxx_966_7442 and Western_Europe_966_7442 only for NC 9.0xx and above.

But this are actually only new map-versions, not really a replacement of the 965_7250/83 or 965_7252/80/81/82 (except the Western_Europe_966_xxxx) - missing/less or other countries in the new versions. Or the new Europe_South_966_xxxx-maps: Very good maps to drive at the fastest way through France, without any stop in a town :tb:.
