For me this is a perfect example of people not appreciating other people's time. Worst thing is, someone has already re-summarized all the steps.

There seems to be no problem using TomTom Home on a patched card. I do it and can pick up the latest cameras and map shares (or whatever they are called - the small corrections/amendments). Anyway, if you're working from a backup you can easily redo the SD card.

Thanks NickJH. Tried this today just out of curiosity. It did update my GPS quick fix... And probably would do mapshare stuff if there was something new. Screwed a few other things up for me though. Noticed it changed my units from kph to mph, reset all my alert settings... As you said, I just copied my backup back to the sdcard and got all those settings back. Think for me I will avoid TTHome, and update my GPS Quickfix from fast activate.

Odd. Ok that I use MPH anyway but I've not noticed anything else. It updates quickfix as you said. I have not updated for a while as I don't travel a huge amount apart from my daily commute which I know well and the map errors I've reported have not yet been fixed so I can't be bothered to update. I'm now just waiting for the 965 maps to come out (which still won't have my corrections).

I just wanna say thank you all for this forum. I successfully installed according to the instructions of Greatnloopy and NickJH (pst 49 and 201). I have Mazda 6 with NB1 nav system. I can confirm that everything is working including speedcams. Thank you all and I look forward to further maps and speedcams. Great craking/patching.

thanks to all of you for this forum i have been searching for a while to see if this can be done. I do have a problem though and i can't seem to get it working. I have followed Greatnloopy guide twice but i cannot get this to read the map. I managed to activate the map Europe 965-7280 using fast activate and the log showed as everything ok. all .dct files where created etc no errors. downloaded the patched ttsystem file and put it on the root of the sd. the system in car found it and done the update ok. when the NB1 rebooted it does not find the map data. it tells me no map data card found insert sd and close door etc. I cannot understand why this happens. How can i tell if the system is running patched version? I have done the steps by deleting the files as per guide and also by just copying the map folder and overwriting files. i don't mind if this has issues with routing initially i just would like it to read the map. i can work on any routing issues when i have it that far. any ideas where i might be going wrong?

i have patched tom tom units before but that was a few years ago. i had patched my old garmin before i bought this car so i'm not to bad with stuff like this but this one has got me stumped.

Did you update the TLV file? Did you close the sd card tray in the car when you inserted it back in?

Why do you try it with this low-level-map? I think, this doesn't work for NB1. Use the Europe_965_7250 and make the needed additions for this map. Or use an original NB1 map like Europe_960_7084

Thought i read somewhere on this thread that updating the tlv file makes no difference so i hadn't done that. I did close the reader door though i know i did cos it. done the navcore update.

Hi and thanks for your reply, i never realised it was a low level map. I have done tom tom before but not many and that was quite a few years back, i was under the impression the higher number the newer the map. and as this thread references maps that are old now i thought i was getting the latest. so any help on the map codes or pointers to that info will be appreciated.
