I'd like to ask why we think we need Android maps. I've downloaded and installed the Europe 960.7056 maps. In the map folder, all I have kept from the original installation is:
asrgrammarinfo.xml
default.ov2 (20/01/2015)
default.ver (20/01/2015)
And the country folders DE, EN, ES, FR, NL and PT

I am not even sure if the default.??? files are from the original installation due to their dates and things appear to be working normally.

I don't normally use voice recognition or guidance, but instructing it to "drive home" worked and I received turn instructions on my journey home.

I've gained a load of cspeech files which the original installation did not have and I'm not sure if they are necessary but I have not got round to experimenting.

Any comments?

I think it is full 2.35 GB (2,527,772,672 bytes 67 files 15 files) on the disc. activation with a fastactivate: incomplete map: Europe-100588.meta => .dct ERROR

Is there a file meta.txt and in it a line containing Europe-100588.meta? If so, move the file to the card root and reactivate. I think the error message you are getting often means no meta.txt.

I have many Europe-100588.meta file. but there is no line in the file written meta.txt 100588.

In which file do you find the line?

meta.txt in the file there is no line: 960.7084

Until you can locate a meta code you are sunk. Some maps seem to be able to use the meta codes for other maps but I've no idea how that works.

If it helps I'm using Europe 960.7056 and it seems to be OK. I was an early downloader so I had to download it in 14 parts but I've recently seen it on other sites in just 2 files and as a torrent.
