Hi everyone, new member and first post here.

My folks live in a different country, and have a TomTom GO 720. They are going to visit a different country (Australia) in June and will be doing some driving, so I'm trying to get their TomTom set up for them. The problem is, they're extremely unsavvy with tech, and I'm not much better. So hopefully you guys can point out if I'm doing anything wrong or if I'm missing anything.

1) I connected to their PC via TeamViewer, and checked their TomTom device memory. Currently, it only has 150MB free.
2) I asked them to turn on their TomTom to check their Navcore version, and it appears to be V9.701
3) I downloaded the Australia_925.5412 map from

4) I am planning to order

, put the Australia map (from step #3) onto the card, and then mail it to my parents so they can insert it into their TomTom.

At this point, will they need to do anything else to 'load' or 'initiate' the map? Or will the Australia map come up automatically when they turn it on in Australia?

Am I missing any steps here? [and other questions]

Also, if the SDHC card is left in the TomTom, will their local country map still continue to work, or will they have to take out the SDHC card each time they want to use the GPS locally?

Sorry for all the newbie questions, but thanks in advance!
