    Maybe, just maybe the mini USB connector ain't working right in the cradle(s). Have you tried a standard mini USB lead

Tomtom go 530 having trouble with tomtom when i put it in dock to conect to computer it says do u want to conect to computer shuts down and does not restart got latest soft on it 9.465 and running latest tomtom home.after shutting down takes ages to get it running again resetting remove sdcard etc Rating: 5

    yer tryed that just thought it might be bootloader could i go to one higher than 5.5120 ?

    If your device starts OK on it's own then you're wasting your time trying.
    If it DOES work OK on its own then it HAS TO BE a connection problem with your PC....simples

    i can get it to connect if i do a pin reset put in craddle then restart

    OK, do that then run clearflash.exe 3 times allowing a reboot after each time
