@jopasaps,
very easy, use TTActivator to download your map.
On the dowload tab, uncheck the auto-extract box.
Then the result will be a ttpkg-file for nav3 and higher, a zip-file for nav1 and nav2
PeterMy current collection; NAV2: GO 300 (M1); ONE XL (L1); GO XXL (GQ); GO 910 (V7); GO 950 LIVE (W1)
NAV3: GO 820 LIVE (FU) NAV5: GO 5200 (ZB)

I feel so stupid I have a GO Superior and it is great really, but I forgot one vital thing. It needs to be linked to the Hotspot in my car or the phone for correct routing. Since that is the reason I have it, I was really cheesed of when, though it gave a route, but did not show delays and reroutes. I was honestly miffed and was going to send back for a refund. My fault, Was it needed connection to the phone with Bluetooth and hotspot. I could not figure this out as at home, using my WIFI was perfect. Sorry TomTom, was my fault this time not yours, for a change... My other phone without a SIM but with Bluetooth is perfect for other things. Love my GO Superior, but it is costly, some things, I may not renew on subscription. Though I will haggle a deal.
I am not paying for my Car's hotspot Wi-Fi as there is no point, plus costs too much anyway

One day, someone might make things work perfectly before release. Sadly not in my or your lifetime. At least by finding problems and sorting them, we are still alive.

Welcome to the real "old mans" world Nick where we often forget things (although you have genuine reasons whereas we're just getting old)
Now where's that "Post Quick Reply" button gone

A bit of a bummer, seems TT are ending map support early. I will definitely not buy another so time to use the great 'educational' bits and pieces on the forum again.

A new TomTom device awaits youWe noticed that your current SatNav is incompatible with TomTom’s latest map update and needs to be replaced. It has been a while since your GO Premium X was updated. Roads change all the time, our maps do too.
But don’t worry, we have the hardware upgrade you need right here, so we can continue the journey together easier and faster. To make the change smoother, we are giving you an exclusive discount of 35%.

Nothing new imlost, just a bump from them trying to sell you (and many of us) new devices as they are phasing out support (End-of-Life) many older devices apparently incl some of their newer NAV4's but all the time we have our experts here we should be good to go

Seems that the email regarding my discontinued model was sent in error by TT, not good PR sending that email out to thousands of people. They have apologized though.

I think you should ask for, and they agree, to free lifetime maps (until it really is EoL'd by them) Worth a try?
