Tomtom 1.4 on Lollipop 5.1.1
Tested, and it works on the internal sd card.
How can i move the maps to the external sd card?
I tried this change into the metadata.xml file, but apparently it is wrong.
location="file://mnt/ExtSdCard/Android/data/com.tomtom.europe"/

the only thing file metadata.xml - is the size of programs folder - if it is less than described there, app tries to re-download all content. So, we need only to reduce this number - you can just write "0" instead of real size. But this the only you can get profit of editing this file.
I have Asus Zenfon 2 with 5.0.1 on board. TT 1.4 works smooth, when placing files according to instruction:
1 - extract uSD and put it into USB-card-reader (or just - connect your phone to PC, navigate to This PC\ASUS_Z00AD[here must be YOUR phone's model]\SD card\Android\data\
2 - create here folder com.tomtom.europe/files/
3 - copy here file .metadata.xml and folder files
Done!
Finally, full path to metadata.xml must be:
This PC\YOUR phone's model\SD card\Android\data\com.tomtom.europe\files\.metadata.xml
And for rest content:
This PC\YOUR phone's model\SD card\Android\data\com.tomtom.europe\files\files\[content]
