It charges in car and when on USB to computer, if it died I'd say the battery has had its life "RIP Battery"

Battery just ran out when attempting to update my maps via pc…never lets me down when used in the car so strange it shows up when hooked up to pc, guessing the battery gets constantly charged as you are driving . Ordered a new battery so hopefully get sorted !

No you will not sort your problem with new battery. Now you have dead becker modul.

Possibly but same thing happened last time , charged the unit in the car for a few hours afterwards and it hooked straight up to the pc long enough to charge up and connected straight up to the pc long enough to transfer the new maps.
