Oh man have I ever spent forever trying to figure this out.... Cannot seem to get my deck to upgrade Garmin maps... I can list the XML file, folders, and base .img if necessary, but it seems it only "recognizes" an SD card after it writes the info... Windows user... Am I missing something?? Much love and appreciation!!

However, I got this unit, and it came installed with 2018.0 maps. I did what i'm used to doing, putting an unlocked image file on the SD card, but it didn't work this time. Searching shows that newer kenwood units block this method. I saw in another thread, using gamin express to send the same map files to the SDcard, then replace the map img. I tried that, and when I insert the SD card it just tells me "loading Rating: 5
