We have a part time home business that involves driving around town and have been using the mobile phone with Google Maps. It has advantages and disadvantages. The worst is that it often loses the GPS signal because it's not in the dash area, but in my purse or in my assistant's hand, inside. When that happens, it seems to go bat crazy, and sits there and tells us "make a U turn, turn left, turn right...", all at the same time, and it leads us blocks, if not miles from where we needed to be. ( Not sure if that's from loss of signal, or just Google Maps! )

Is there a dedicated dash GPS that can use Google Maps?

So we got a GARMIN NUVI 67LM and dash mounted it, as a backup. But the thing almost takes a man's pressure to enter things into, and it doesn't pick up the traffic slowdowns, and situations, like Google does. With Denver's population and traffic problems becoming horrible, these past few years, that's a problem. The other problem with the Garmin was that it mounted on a short little mount on the windshield, which puts it out of my reach, without hurting my back and shoulder. So I had to get a big long trucker's arm for it, to move it back where I can reach it, to the inside edge of the dash. But NOW it gets out of position after awhile, because of bouncing of the car and arm - even though I padded it for vibration.

So I was wondering if there's anything that does both? A nice big screen, dash mount, easy to reach and enter addresses into, and which can use the Google Maps system?

Thanks!
