Moving a map from a Garmin 52 to a Garmin 890 RV unit?

Many Thanks, I did what you suggested but the 890 Rv did not recognize the file that I downloaded. I have the City Navigator North America 2023 but it comes as a gmapprom.img file. I tried changing the file name to gmapsupp.img file but it was not recognized on the Garmin 890 RV GPS. Not sure where to go from here?
Please can I find out how to make an sd card with City Navigator North America 2023 on it? to run on my Australia Garmin 890 Rv GPS unit.
