    What region does your DriveSmart 65 cover ?


    N & S.America,Europe,Russia,Australia & New Zealand are on 5.90 just MENA seems on 6.26

    Europe. It’s weird That the software not the same in different regions. Garmin should update the software for all regions at the same time

    Agreed! We cannot have memories like an elephant all the time. It did pain me to see a helpful member treated less than kindly over a simple lapse of memory. And the ever-polite FF58 still took it gracefully. Bravo!

    That because the OP has a US/EU loacalised device for which the latest fw is V5.90. Info posted above by Garmin_Nuvi is for the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) Version which it seems has V6.26:

    Regardless, that link to MEGA above gives the same "B306500.update" file when extracted as was posted by the OP. When both .update files are further extracted they have identical content and the version file of each shows "5.90". Perhaps a wrong sw file was uploaded in error?

    Curiously, the MENA version is available with either MENA or EU mapping and the MENA flavor is 500 UAD more than the EU (1499 dirham vs. only 899 dirham). At least that's the case in the Emirates:
