Garmin UnLock MapSource Directory

OK. I didn't find any UnLock MapSource.exe v.5.2 in your gmap archive [FireFox58], though you mentioned it is present inside. Anyway I tried both v5.2 and v6.2 version and they don't work at all. The program fails to find maps to unlock. One time with version v5.2 while selecting the Product1 folder and then clicking (but not double clicking ... !) the Unlock MapSource.exe it did launch the unlocking program however I couldn't tell exactly what action did launch it successfully. However even after having the unlock run, the new Europe 2023.10 never showed up in MapSource.

The last working gmap unlocked with the v6.2 and working (on my side of the story) was the North America 2023.10.

My best guess is that Garmin did manage to go around the unlocking process used by Unlock MapSource.exe

I don't know what you downloaded, but inside my Archive ...

UnLock MapSource.exe must be run from inside the folder C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps\City_Navigator_Europe_NTU_2023_10.gmap
I've done this operation, as many others Users, a thousand times without any problem.
I suggest you to revise what you are doing, starting fron disabling any Antivirus

Well. An update is useful. OK. Sure you did add the Unlock MapSource.exe as is in your compressed volumes RAR file. However usually such sensible file are to be added within a zip file (.zip, .rar, .7z) as the obvious reason is that commercial anti virus software like McAfee VirusScan Professional [the one I use] delete such files as 'Unwanted Programs' at the request of the editor Garmin here. So I expected it in a zip file and it wasn't, next McAfee did remove it before I noticed it.

As for the Unlock Mapsource.exe I had troubles in a Windows 7 partition and is not yet clear why it didn't perform as expected. However within a Windows 10 install it worked flawlessly. The way to use it is well known and is part of a text file within the zipped original release anyway ... And that was never an issue.
