    One point I noted when looking up the above info, is NOTE 1: You must have custom points of interest (POIs) loaded for proximity points alerts to display.

    This Proximity Alert settings does not seem to show up on my unit.?? However have the POI file loaded.
    Does it have anything to do in advance settings where the "Locale" setting is set to.

    Proximity Alerts Settings

    NOTE: You must have custom points of interest (POIs) loaded for proximity points alerts to display.
    NOTE: This feature is not available in all areas.
    Select Settings > Driver Assistance > Proximity Alerts.
    AudioSets the style of alert that plays when you approach proximity points.
    AlertsSets the type of proximity points for which alerts are played.
    Peterdw747 Reviewed by Peterdw747 on . POI speedcams FILES FOR GARMIN DRIVEASSIST 51 LMT-S Hi all, just acquired an Garmin Driveassist 51 LMT-S with live time North Africa maps from Garmin. I updated the POI speedcams file (Garmin Cyclops Safety Cameras - AU-NZ/EU/NA/ME/RU/SA (https://www.gpsurl.com/garmin-poi-s-and-speedcams/174113-garmin-cyclops-safety-cameras-au-nz-eu-na-ru-sa-5.html)) manually downloaded from GP and installed as a .gpi file for Middle East only in the POI folder. However they dont seem to show up on the map when using the Garmin. Looked in settings and in Rating: 5

    Did you get the Safety camera to work ?

    Hi Garmin. No never got the safety Cameras to work what ever I tried from your end, why I have a feeling it might be because it does not like the original maps. Was hoping to try it out with a ME MAP from this site.
    Only other problem I face is that when I put an old ME map on a SD card, the unit will not see it for some reason. This was posted on the POI thread.

    Ps is there anyway I am able to delete a thread I started on discussion. Dont realy want to double up as per your rules.

    Did you Patch your device yet,
    Your device will not see an older version of the same map.
    Many use the Unlocked safety cameras on devices that are not Patched with original maps.
    Unless you are a "New" member, having used the Thanks button regularly is the quickest way to get help.

    It works fine for DriveAssist 51 if you downgrade to 4.40 version. Speedcams are back

    I have a suggestion that might be helpful
    Delete the whole POI file and then delete the garmin xml file
    After that, reset the device to factory settings, create a new poi file, and put a new garmin cyclop in it
    hope this will solve the issue
    and maybe the new map 2022.10 also solve, it is release more than 2 month will come to the form any time now

    Hi Ashrafn, Thanks for the info. And followed your suggestion, however no joy.

    For some reason I don't seem to have "Select Settings > Driver Assistance > Proximity Alerts." in my settings. Any idea why this could be.

    Hi Garmin, yes I did Patch my unit following u instructions. I think my unit has a mind on it's own.
    It makes sense that the units will not read older versions of the same map. How can I fix this. Thanks
