2025.10 install for GVN 54
I'm trying to update the maps for the Garmin GVN 54 GPS that is in my 2014 Aston Martin Vantage. With the help of the forums, I was able to update them to 2023.10 but the same process I used for that isn't working for the 2025.10 update. Basically, I downloaded the Canada/USA East map available from this thread, unzipped it to a file named gmapprom.img file, run that file through Garmin Unlocker Alternative with a seemingly successful result, then rename the file to gmapsupp.img and put that file onto an SD card with a FAT32 filesystem in a folder named Garmin. Unfortunately, the GPS doesn't seem to see the file, so it defaults to the original 2013 maps that came with the car. Fortunately, I did this on a SD card separate from the one with the 2023 maps so I'm still able to put that SD card back in and use them. I've tried different cards, but with the same result. Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong?

Try using gimgunlock on the map you downloaded.
In the garmindevice.xml from an AM from Europe I have I don't see any mention of supplemental maps (gmapsupp.img) check to see the path & name in your garmindevice.xml
Garmin say 8Gb maximum SD card size so check that.

Thanks for the suggestions but despite trying them all it's still not working. I'm sure gmapsupp.img is the correct file name - that's what's used on the version that is working. I also tried leaving the file name as it was (gmapprom.img) with the same result. Something is going on where the GVN 54 is just not seeing the file.....
AutoMapa 6.27.2 Europe 2401 Final...
Thank you. It only worked for me on Windows 11
