City Navigator Thailand NT 2022.20 [Dual] ALL FID 9503

Hi guys, after downloading and copying the gmapsupp.img to my device I am receiving the error "Can't authenticate map, please contact the vendor for help blah blah" on each device's reboot, and the map is not listed on the Maps Manager. And no matter what I do but still no luck.

Is this map truly unlocked? Or am I doing something wrong, and there shall be any specific steps to load this map onto the device?
Please guide me through this?

PS: I have Garmin Montana 700, just purchased a month ago and that arrived with Topo NorthAmerica 2021 preinstalled. I need this Thailand map for an upcoming travel. Thanks for help!

Without patching firmware you will not be able to use unlocked maps on the latest Garmin devices.
But as far i know, at the moment on Montana 700 it's not possible to patch firmware as it is crypted.

Hi, but the same Montana works with downloaded custom-made OSM maps just perfectly. Just a "select area-download IMG for Garmin" crap, and yet it works....
But not with "official partner's" IMG file (that also works with other Garmin devices)?

I am really confused with this device now.

Hi, this Garmin map is also not locked (as it said). But doesn't work on Montana 700.

I am not quite sure of what is the core difference between non-locked OSM (which works on M700) and unlocked Garmin (which doesn't work on M700)?
Shall I "unlock further" for M700, or how? I just need this map on Montana 700, what extra steps I need to proceed?
