Your device is capable of using both NTU & NT maps. for simplicity lets assume you only want the latest N.America maps NT.
There is a possibility that this update 6.49 GB (6,976,003,870 bytes) won't fit on the device even after deleting all the old files you mention.

Thanks Garmin_Nuvi. Thank you for the guidance! Is it possible to put it on a MicroSD card and run it from there? I see that my 3790 has a slot for it. I assume that's what its for? If so, then I just modify the GarminDevice.XML file to point to the SDcard?

Question on the SQLite files. The file in the filelist image you posted, lists a single file of 160mb. the downloaded link to the SQLite file has 3 files in it. which version do I need? Will the 3 file version work on my device or is it the larger 170mb single file version? I am not sure exactly what these files are for or how interchangeable they are.

I would clean up the old files on the device & update the delete the old gmapprom.img and put the New gmapsupp.img on a FAT 32 formatted SD card in a folder called Map ie. a Supplemental Map

NO garmindevice.xml modification required

The file list is from my nuvi 3790 I updated to help you ,the only SQLite file offered was D315600.db (DL added to above)

I think it worked, overall, but I seem to have an issue with one of the map files maybe? What might cause the issue in the screenshot at the url below:

I have a Nuvi 3760 with modified firmware 5.1 that makes it act like a 3790. (apparently hardware is the same, so voice command is unlocked on 3760)
i have downloaded all files as above. all files on nuvi, and just the map on my 16gb memory card.
And everything is working. Voice command, search, junction view, 3d terrain contours etc.
However i get a message "Cannot Authenticate Maps" when I turn it on? did I miss something?
I tried loading the map with base camp map loader, then tried mapsource, then just downloaded the CN North America img posted #22 on here but all had that same error
My installed maps show up as:
CN North America NT 2022.10 ALL traffic trends North America 4.25
and Cnna - Na - Dem North America Dem

I thought it might be my gmapbmap.img as that is the only file on the list that i didn't download from this thread
I also removed the SD card, and rebooted without the CN North America 2022.10 it still loads and gives the same error.
Cnna-Na-Dem is then the only listed map without the SD card.

Once i unlocked the map screen has added one more map to the list after that CN North America NT 2022.10 Basic 3D-US & Canada
