New 2021.30 installed but now says "Can't unlock maps" while starting up. Clicked "OK" and Garmin starts. Checking settings and maps shows this map set checked and Garmin goes on. ("Tools, Settings, Map, Info shows "CN North America NT 2021.30.") I wonder if these are the maps my Garmin is now using, even though it said "Can't Unlock Maps," or has the old one loaded by default?

Garmin 1450 and 1490. Map used is 2021.30 and 3D map, both img, from RAR downloads.

These devices do not use 3D building ,delete the gmap3d.img,maybe that has not been unlocked ?
If it is showing in Info

Nope, as I'm currently using the 2021 maps that are split into East and West to fit one in local memory, and the other on the SD card. It works, but a little wonky and sometimes it zooms way out for a while, and then comes back in. Makes it difficult when driving and I may have to bite the bullet and purchase a newer device than my Nuvi 350. It's a shame as it fits my needs, I have 3 of them (wife and daughter's units too), and recently replaced the batteries in all 3 of them (which is not for the mechanically dis-inclined)!

I'm not sure why the size is different but I ended up downloading the one from the mega link and I finally got it to say "All" when looking at the map info. The download from the mega link is 3.49 as opposed to the 2.59 on the torrent link. Anyway, looks like it works perfect now. 2020.30
