The following should be done:

• Go to post #1 and download 5 RAR files only:
gmapprom.part1.rar
gmapprom.part2.rar
gmapprom.part3.rar
gmapprom.part4.rar
gmapprom.part5.rar
(This is the full coverage of North America)

• After the download is complete, expand this files with the newer WinRAR.
• Rename the gmapprom file to gmapsupp
• Then copy the gmapsupp file to 4GB SD card in the folder Garmin\. If the Garmin\ folder does not exist, create it yourself manually.

P.S. That's all your nuvi 260W needs. The matter should work fine. Lots of fun. Good luck!
