Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and just read every post in this thread to try and get a sense of it. One thing I don't understand is the plethora of references back to post #12 and the Mega links. I've tried them like a zillion times and it just keeps telling me I am over my quota, that I need to purchase a Pro subscription or that I need to wait 4+ hours. From my perspective that is not a "direct download link" nor is it reasonable. I've tried FireFox, Chrome, Edge and each has a little different experience but not one of them starts a "direct download"? Is there a secret to Mega that may be in another thread that I haven't found to make it behave itself and start the downloads immediately?

ktdt00, welcome to the forum.
After a certain limit, you do not have to wait 4 hours, simply change your IP and continue with the transfer ...
Try to use: Google Chrome Extensions | HMA! VPN Proxy - Unblock Websites & Stay Safe
It works fine for me.

Sorry i was not clear
I have the Garmin infotainment radio (Suzuki grand vitara up to 2013), i update / put the new maps thru the sd card.
I could update them directly in the radio, but you have the chance to mess things very easily. I have a thread on suzuki forums about this radio.
I was asking if is there a way to know what in a radio unit or a gps the needed files to work : junctions, 3d maps ... when we see here the maps, i have some difficulties to catch all this
I know if you use the full Na map, the files change, size too
If i use a partial map the files are not the same ... getting lost sometime beceause of this.
thks

Hi Guys,
I am new to all of this, I am trying to get the maps on my Nuvi2517, I have managed to download gpspirac20 file magnet, and everything seems ok, my question is do I put everything on an sd card? or are there just particular files to go on the SD card? if so which ones? I am lost here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Ok I have added the files but when I put the sd card in the satnav and turn it on it says map locked
Also, I noticed that I do not have a gmapsupp.img file I actually have a gmapprom.img
Do I need to unlock that file? if so how?
Many thanks
Gerald

Hi Gerald,
change the name of gmapprom.img to gmapsupp.img as that's how your device locates supplemental maps.
<Name>SupplementalMaps</Name>
<File>
<Specification>
<Identifier>IMG</Identifier>
</Specification>
<Location>
<Path>Map</Path>
<BaseName>gmapsupp</BaseName>
<FileExtension>img</FileExtension>
<Extensions>
