Two options:
CN Europe 2020.10 NTU (Unicode) maps you must modify the CP value to1252
CN Europe 2019.20 NT
GPSMAP 66ST HWID 3028
GPSMAP 66 | 3028 | 210 | MAP: Yes | GMA: Yes | MSV: Weak | GVS: --- | File:
Legend:
MAP: Yes - it verifies the presence of a valid unlock code, to unlock an .img you can simply use JetMouse keygen.
GMA: Yes - it verifies the FID limit (2200) and the presence of a valid *.gma, to unlock an .img you enough to use the old gimgunlock-0.03 (without MapSigPatch) or one of its derivative.
MSV: Weak - it verifies the validity of map signatures in a simple way, you can unlock an .img using gimgunlock-0.04 (without patching your firmware), but in case of Unicode maps (CP65001) you must modify the CP value to 1252 with ImgTool ().
MSV: Strong - it verifies the validity of map signatures more complicated way, in this case you need to patch your firmware and unlock an .img using any correct unlocker.
GVS: Yes - it verifies the validity of firmware signatures, you have to use Updater.exe to install the patched firmware for the first time.Last edited by Garmin_Nuvi; 15th June 2019 at 05:45 AM.

Hello,
Changing CP value to 1252 finally works with my Kenwood headunit (DNX5160BTS) with Garmin navigation. But as I live in North-Eastern Europe, where most languages have special characters, having Unicode map is crucial - otherwise I have unreadable names on the map.
Is there any other way around - to have a readable map and headunit loading a map release properly?
Btw, original map updates which come once a year from GarminExpress app are NTU with *.GMA and *.UNL files for activation - so it is really a question of license.

Hi,
I am 70 and somewhat technology challenged. Can someone tell me what files I need to download for a Garmin drivesmart 55 for our visit to Germany and Switzerland? Also, are there some instructions on how to put them on a SD card so they are usable and will we see POI's etc. like our current map of the US. Thank you very much.

@Bumsi, welcome to the forum!
DriveSmart 55 and DriveSmart 65 are the latest Garmin models that came into the market in January 2019. The device sees only what is legal and can be downloaded with Garmin Express. The devices have built-in strong protection. There is no medicine on the black market for this disease. In short, you will have to buy a license for Europe. Or, you can buy one of the older devices for which there is a medicine. There is no other solution.
