So let me get this straight, you have a usb and your device both plugged in, move the garmindevice.xml to the usb, make the firmware/map update via garmin express and then move the garmindevice.xml back to the device? Also, now that the gupdate.gcd was made into an rgn file from a previous patch, I never bothered to move the patched gupdate file back onto the device. So what should I do in the case a new firmware update comes out?

Thank you so much for these! It's been keeping my 255W alive for this long! 1 question though, is there a reason these can't be uploaded to Google Drive/MEGA? Much faster downloads.

I know for sure, Google Drive has an storage limit without paying some money for it. I'm not too sure how MEGA.nz works, seems like a New Zealand based company too, probably would take a while just to upload stuff to their servers. I'm trying to find alternatives but very difficult, the reputable companies get the job done!

Garmin6589: If it says "not lockable" you're good, i.e. will save you unlocking steps.
In MapSource, under "View"->"Switch to Product" you should be able to see your new map.
Then select the regions you need and "Transfer"->"Send to Device" .
