Yes, by the screenshot in your PM it is definitely HWID 1368. I think that's a Taiwan-market 3790 however i'm unable to locate the firmware for it.

Do you have a files backup with GUPDATE.GCD in the .System folder? If there's no GCD in the backup, look in Garmin folder for GarminDevice.xml. If you could send me a copy of the GCD file i can make the cure fw for you. Or using the XML i should be able to get V3.30 firmware from Garmin's server.

I see now what the problem's been. Your device is not nuvi 3790 SG/MY which is HWID 1288, it is nuvi 3790V (SG/MY) which indeed has HWID 1368. Fortunately i've been able to find V3.40 of that firmware so i've made the cure for you. What you need is included in the kit, i'll send you the link via PM. Read the following carefully and ask if you don't understand before attempting the flashing in preboot mode:

    1. Download and save Cure_Flash_Kit.zip somewhere convenient, extract it to find 2 folders, named 'Cure' and 'Original' and a couple of explanatory JPG images.
    2. Open Cure folder to find 136801000340.rgn and Updater.exe (don't open Original folder yet, we'll use the similarly-named RGN in it later. It will fully restore boot function at the very last, after we work out what caused the device to brick. I'll explain fully after you report back again).
    3. Drag 136801000340.rgn onto Updater.exe to open its GUI, be sure to select the radio button next to "USB Device" and leave the GUI visible with your mouse cursor positioned over the "OK" button;
    4. Ensure the device is fully OFF, remove microSD if present in device.
    5. Hold the screen in the proper place and connect the USB cable to the computer then to the 3790V watching the window adjacent to "USB Device" on the GUI. ..... HOLD SCREEN FIRMLY AND CONSISTENTLY FOR ENTIRE FLASH OR IT MAY FAIL ....
    6. Immediately you see the device's details appear in the window on the GUI click the OK button or just hit the Enter key on the computer's keyboard. If you miss initiating the flash you must close the GUI and start again the entire process from 3.
    7. When Updater shows a pop-up saying the process has been successful you can release the screen but don't disconnect from the PC yet. It should reboot itself but if it doesn't then start it with the power button while still connected to PC.

The device will still be stuck on the logo splash screen however the internal files system should be visible in Mass Storage Mode so ensure that hidden files etc. are enabled in Windows File Explorer (see Pic in Flash Kit if you're not sure how to do that) then make a back-up of the entire internal files and folders of the device, importantly including the (normally-hidden) .System folder.

Once you've done the above process post again letting me know in detail what was being done to the device just before it bricked. e.g., updating firmware or updating mapping, voice files, GPIs etc. or just happened while navigating or being turned on. Give as much information as possible even if you think it's not relevant because if we can't know which file/s to remove we may have to re-format it and the format must be done in a very particular way or it'll just make the solution more difficult. Good luck, ask if unsure of anything beforehand and remember all this is at your own risk because i have no control over how you do the actual process and any deviation from my guidance might brick it permanently.

I know English isn't your first language so i'll try to go slower because you missed some very important points in my previous post:

So it's expected that it can't boot fully, in fact that's the whole purpose of cure firmware, it lets the device boot only partially so that Mass Storage Mode becomes available, but not so boot far that corrupt files are blocking the process.

Please let me know that information before we go further. That way we might be able to understand which files to remove now that MSM is working.

It's ok, no need to be sorry. I'm sure your English is much better than my Bahasa, Javanese or Malay .

In that case we should delete the latest detail map from the internal memory, look for "gmapprom.img" and any other similarly named files like "gmapprom.unl" and "gmapprom.gma". Remove them from the device but first make sure you have copies of them in your backup. Then open the folder from my previous PM named "Original" and follow the steps to flash that RGN in preboot.

It will now boot fully if those map files were the cause and you can just connect to GarminExpress to replace them with healthy ones.

If it 'bricks' again contact me again by Private Message with a link for an upload of a zipped files backup, so i can check all other files for you. It'll be a large file so use MegaNZ for that please.

You don't have known file names revealed. Remember in the Kit i PM'ed to you there are 2 pics, this is one of them:

If you set like that (i.e. "Hide extensions for known files types" unchecked), common file names will be shown. Like "gmapprom" will be shown with the IMG extension: "gmapprom.img" etc..

I see from your pic that you have more than one detail map onboard, in addition to gmapprom.img you have gmapsupp.img and gmaptopo.img and their associated GMA and UNL files as well as JCV folder/files. There are also some small files starting with "._" named like your detail maps. What you could do is remove all of the files from the Map folder, or just delete the entire Map folder. Then place only 1 set of the same-named files into a Map folder on a microSD card. Don't put it in the device yet, first flash the original firmware back. If it then boots normally but with a message about no detail maps available, shut it down and insert the card with only, say, the gmapsupp-named file set. If it bricks again when you start it just removing the card will restore it. Then you can try gmaptopo file set, gmapprom file set progressively until you work out which is causing the problem. It's unlikely to be the JCV files causing the problem however.

The reason to try this using a card is simply because it's easier than having to 'unbrick' the device if you put a faulty file back.
