I recently acquired a Garmin StreetPilot 2720 with all but the box, cheap, on eBay. I updated the firmware/maps/etc thanks to old forum posts found via the web and it works great. [FYI NT maps DO work in the unit despite what Garmin/others say. Also the track log has the normal 10,000 points NOT the 2,000 Garmin states. I've run my own tests to confirm this.]

Garmin StreetPilot 2720 question

Being a model from 2006 it DOES NOT implement USB mass storage mode nor does it take ANY type of external memory. Thus there is no visible GarminDevice.xml file. It seemingly has 2GB of internal (ONLY) flash.

Garmin Express 7.16.3 does find the device (once the Garmin USB protocol drivers are loaded) but then states that the device is unsupported. However Webupdater (the older 2.4.2 and latest 2.5.8) do see and offer updates for it.

All that said does anyone know of a way to see what other stuff (besides the main firmware/maps) is in it? I've used GPSDaemon /full to dump several memory regions in it but have no idea where everything is stored. WebUpdater obviously knows how but it only shows updates NOT what is currently loaded.
