Transform device to another type

i trying to convert Garmin nuvi 2599 to Dezl 570 without success.
i am using RNG file with UPDATER.EXE, but after start flashing device is turn off.
device has pcb 105-02435-00 v.4

any help, what i do wrong?

Check HW version, there is TWO versions of Nuvi 2599.
Device with HWID 1947 (006-B1947-00) can be converted to Dezl 570.

2599 witjh another HWID can't be converted to Dezl 570

my one has HWID 1758. i guess this is the wrong one

certainly the US version 2798 (which is just a renamed 2797 packaged with the Digital Radio Traffic Receiver GTM60 rather than the FM GTM36 for 2797) can convert to dezl 760. It has HWID of 1517 and PCB P/N 105-01878-02. The EU 2798 has HWID of 1884 but as it has the same PCB P/N as the US 2797/8 it should also convert to 760.

Since your Location is given as NV i guess you have the US version HWID 1517 which i've successfully converted to dezl/RV 760 using Hybrid firmware (2797/8 boot.bin combined with fw_all.bin & resources.bin from 760's fw and with HWID retained as 1517). That would be the safe way for you to try the conversion, if you want help compiling a kit to flash from microSD card just ask here.
