Drive Smart 40/50 with FID 2267 i never tested, so i can not tell you if poatch can works, maybe other users can help you , i can tell you to NOT try because you can demage your Garmin , but if you want to try is at your own risk ...for me no works but i can wrong
only FID: 2586 can works second my personal opinion, but i can wrong !

I turned a Garmin DriveSmart 50 LM into a Garmin dezl 580, but after the transformation the touch screen didn't work anymore.

The reason is different screen than ZD050NA-05E.The other screen which freezes is A050FTT04.Both work with original Drivesmart 50 and nuvi 25x9 .

. The reason for the freeze is the display. Change the display from nuvi 2599 and it will be fine
