Yes, you must 'unhide' in Windows so you can see the .System folder which will likely contain your OEM UK mapping named 'gmapprom.img'. Go to Control Panel>File Explorer Option (or File Options depending on Win OS) and do this:
The map will be navigable with just the unlocked IMG file in a microSD's Garmin folder as gmapsupp.img (or in Garmin or another root folder on the card named Map as <any_name>.img i.e. EU_NTU_201930.img for example). To have full use you'll need to have other files such as JCV for Junction Views but that's optional.
If the EU continental map also contains any UK data as well, be careful that it's the same version as your LM UK one in the main memory. Don't mix UK 2019.20 and EU 2019.30 for instance.B1ng0 Reviewed by B1ng0 on . Nuvi 52LM adding CN Western Europe Hi all, I hope someone can advise a newbie :good: I have looked at the internal folder structure on my 52LM and cannot see the UK map or associated files in "Garmin"so presume it is hidden in some way. So I have put CN EU NTU 2019.30 on an external SD card as gmapsupp.img but what other files will I need to add to make Europe navigable? Thanks in advance Rating: 5
