    Dear FireFox58, thank you for flash kit. It worked fine, but I lost my Garmin Cyclops POI with that upgrade. Post# 355 tells about the same trouble with Drive Smart 51. Do you know what happened? Thank you.

    I don't know what is going on, it seems to be a bug of newer firmware ...
    Here it is previous version 4.40, try this ...

    This is a Patched Firmware (JNX + Unlocked Maps) for GPSMAP66s ver. 2.80
    Since the GPSMAP66s (HWID: 3028) does not have the GSV and falls into category 2
    MSV: Yes, GSV: ---
    In this case the Patched Firmware guarantees the correct reading of Unlocked Maps, including NTU and TOPO Maps with CP 65001.
    The Patched Firmware guarantees reading of BirdEyes JNX images too.
    Also, in this case the "patched" Firmware can be loaded through the normal update procedure via WebUpdater
    Fixed issue where the course line would always appear on the map

    Sorry for unnecessary post.

    Wow, I was reading this thread for a while and it seem s that Garmin is trying really hard to make this game more difficult

    Anyway, last night I was trying to put new maps without success and I was wondering why it is not working and then google told me it was because of locked firmware.

    My device is

    <PartNumber>006-B2267-00</PartNumber>

    <SoftwareVersion>590</SoftwareVersion>

    <Description>Drive 40</Description>

    Please help this confused oldtimer.

    Since the Oregon 7xx (HWID: 2512) does not have the GSV and falls into category 2
