• If your Device already has this Patched version there is nothing else you can do
• If you mean to install a Firmware related to a different HWID (Garmin DriveSmart 51 has a 6.70 release for eample), I suggest you to change your mind

I managed to activate a Garmin Nuvi 2597LM:

With the 770 firmware it arrived and respective nuvi2xx7and2xx8C4_770.gcd
the updater.exe crashed both on WinXP3 and Win7.
And now the device is free from that joke Garmin Express
