Welcome to the forum newer devices like this one need their firmware patching to use Unlocked maps.
look in the garmindevice.xml & confirm your HWID is 2586 then go to the patching thread below.

Thanks for your reply, and that information.
My HWID is indeed 2568, with Software Version 600 (not 670).
Will that matter?
The method described in Post #140 of the "Universal Firmware Patcher" shows instructions for a custom SD flash kit only for HWID 2077 devices (nüvi 2597 C4), firmware version 8.80.
I assume the same method is used for my DriveSmart 51?
ie:
- Ensure the device is fully OFF (not in standby), insert the card in device and power on.
- "Loader" will appear on screen for some time and the device will boot up when the flash of patched firmware is complete.
The device can reboot itsself during the process. - After the Patch is applied the device will be able to read Unlocked Maps.
- When the flash has completed remove the card, in its root will be a new file named 154.bin.
That's a backup of the device's non-volatile memory region and may save your device at a later date.
You would be best to keep a copy of it somewhere safe for as long as you have the device.

Yes method is the same ,the latest version is 6.70 so that has been Patched .
Make sure your device is fully charged.
Unpack contents to fresh SD card formatted FAT32 smaller is better
Ensure your device is fully OFF (not in standby), insert the card in device and power on.(Use your Garmin Vehicle Power cable to power on if your battery is not good)
"Loader" will appear on screen for a while then the device will boot up when the flash of patched firmware is complete.

Make sure your device is fully charged.

Hello. my garmin gpsmap 64 sx broke down and garmin shows it to me with a refurbished one
But some cards are no longer read
France 6 pro in img format
Italy in img format
On the other hand, Spain topo 7 in img + gma format works without problem
What can I do?
