No actually what I am trying to achieve is to have the patcher itself saved on my own hard drive so that in future if I come across a locked device then I can use it. In the meantime: maybe this site goes down, Internet goes down and 1000s of other reasons why it'd not be available any longer. As of now I do not have any devices to unlock.

Good luck you're on a long path of discovery ,you should make yourself familiar with how to recover a device when & if you "brick" one. Also finding Pre-Boot Mode on the later devices can be tricky. Those that have come before you have taken years to be confident enough to create Patched firmware for other members without risking "Bricking" their devices.

Is it possible to patch the Epix (gen 2) ?

Hallo,
I'm using Montana 680t and so far I've had no problems using unlocked maps - probably old version or NT.
Yesterday I decided to try "City Navigator Europe NTU 2024.10" and got the following error:
Can't Authenticate Maps. Contact content seller for help.
Do I need also to Patch the firmware ?

Read this about Patching to use
Yes you can still use Garmin Express to update ,but if you update the firmware you will over write the Patched firmware.Unless you are a "New" member, having used the Thanks button regularly is the quickest way to get help.
