It's patchable. Look in the fw_list.txt for this: nuvi 25x9 C4.

This is a custom SD flash kit only for HWID 1947 devices (nüvi 25x9 C4), firmware version 8.80

Hi, FireFox 58 i have problem with2588 devices (Drive Smart 61), firmware version 4.40 you have made.

Users have reported that in DriveSmart 61 using patched firmware V4.30 and V4.40 the smartphone link causes the device to crash and also routing can cause a bootloop. RTL (Run Time Liberty Trap) error is then shown in the log. V4.00 and V4.10 have been reported as working properly after patching, not sure about V4.20 though.

Okay, I understand. It seems a valid reason.
Tomorrow i will prepare a 4.10 SD Package.
I am not sure but I guess it will need a downgrade before install.

Only reason to first downgrade with original firmware would be if you intend making a kit to flash only patched fw_all.bin via sd to rgn14 (0x0E). Provided also the other components of V4.10 are used as is your usual custom there is no need to downgrade as all applicable regions will then have the lower version (127, 158 and 12 via Ldr.bin) the latter will then write to 5 and 43 on next boot. Downgrading first with original fw will do no harm, it just isn't necessary prior to a full flash of patched fw.

I updated my Garmin. All worked as explained. Express app was able to update USA maps to the latest (I just ignore firmware update). Added Unlocked North and South Europe ISO maps to SD card and all 3 works! The only question where to add additional JCV, SQLite, Traffic Trends and other sid to SD to be loaded for Europe. Can anyone give a hint where to read?

Place JCVs in folder \Garmin\JCV on microSD
Place SIDs in folder \Garmin\SID on microSD
SQLite (*.db) better use internal memory (\.System\SQLite), they are named differently from those of NA

NOTE: it should not be necessary to downgrade the firmware, I forced the 4.41 firmware release
