i've just downloaded the file you privided for the questioner onto desktop.
and then i tried to unzip it but it failed to open. (software "Lhaplus")
the file is not available (cannot find the place) <- alert message expression might be different because i use japanese windows10

the following are my device information

I bought this at amazon usa and i want to use japanese map for climbing with oregon700

The reason for my question was post #1140 which says: "Garmin dezl 785 uses android as its operating system. so you can install any android application like on a tablet."


Garmin maps are not an Android application. Besides that, my software version is 6.10: you refer to an SD package for the software version 3.80. So once again: is it patch-able? I just afraid to brick it.
