The Link you pointed to is to be used as Tutorial of How To Apply the Patch using an SD Package, NOT to download SD Package itsself (different HWID)
The correct SD Package for your Device (Nuvi 53/55/56) is

Your device Serial # 3A60093xx has Lifetime FREE map updates for Western Europe ,if this is all you want use Garmin Express to update it.
Patching a device is to enable it to use unlocked maps, so try using an unlocked map ,you device will let you know, but 154.bin file is created as part of the Patching processLast edited by Garmin_Nuvi; 13th July 2021 at 07:01 AM.

Garmin Express did not show this to me at first. Now the update does show. But it does not fit on the internal memory.
What I actually wanted to do is add the map of turkey. I got the file gmapsupp but I dont know what to do with it. I cant access the .system folder.
Do I need to boot in like a developer mode or something?

Garmin Express gave you an option to use an SD card, that is recommended.
I recommend adding any supplemental files (gmapsupp.img) to the SD card, if you add files to the device storage and there is any file corruption it is hard to recover the device, but very easy to unplug an SD card & start again.

As kindly request from
This is a Patched Firmware (JNX + Unlocked Maps) for eTrexTouch 25/35 (HWID = 2140) ver. 4.50
Since the eTrexTouch 25/35 (HWID: 2140) does not have the GSV and falls into category 2
MSV: Yes, GSV: ---
In this case the Patched Firmware guarantees the correct reading of Unlocked Maps, including NTU and TOPO Maps with CP 65001.
The Patched Firmware guarantees reading of BirdEyes JNX images too.
Be sure to remove All BirdEyes images eventually present on Device before apply Patch
BirdEyes images can be restored AFTER flashing new firmware
Also, in this case the "patched" Firmware can be loaded through the normal update procedure via WebUpdater (read )
Changes made from version 4.40 to 4.50:
- Fixed issue with getting a false max number of photos exceeded message.
- Fixed page flow when clearing the current activity
Give feedback!
