Using unlocked maps on newer devices

All your devices have protected firmware however it's the 'weak' form and for NT map use gimgunlock V0.04 will overcome it. If you wish to use the NTU (Unicode) version of the Europe map then the fw needs to be patched. Look around for Universal Firmware Patcher for that.

Using unlocked maps on newer devices Hi all, I have used Gimgunlock to unlock a few of my maps so I can use them on different SD cards or different devices (these are all my maps already). I have a set of OZtopo Maps which when I unlock, can be used on other SD cards no problems. However, when I unlock other Garmin maps such as SE Asia and Europe, the process goes through, it unlocks it (and Gmaptool shows them as unlocked) but when trying to load on my devices, they can’t be used. An error comes up saying “maps cannot be Rating: 5
