Hi all,
I have used Gimgunlock to unlock a few of my maps so I can use them on different SD cards or different devices (these are all my maps already).
I have a set of OZtopo Maps which when I unlock, can be used on other SD cards no problems.
However, when I unlock other Garmin maps such as SE Asia and Europe, the process goes through, it unlocks it (and Gmaptool shows them as unlocked) but when trying to load on my devices, they can’t be used. An error comes up saying “maps cannot be unlocked”.
My devices are:
Garmin Nuvi 57LM (loaded with Australian Maps)
Garmin Nuvi 58LM (Loaded with Europe Maps)
Garmin Zumo 590LM (loaded with Australian Maps).

The extra purchased maps on microSD cards which I I have tried to unlock so I can use them on other bigger cards are:

Garmin SE Asia
Garmin Australia TopoV5
Garmin North America
Garmin West Europe

None of these maps work after successfully unlocking them using Gimgunlock

In addition
Oztopo V8 works fine when unlocking.

Can someone advise if there could be other locks on the devices to not allowing me to do this?

The devices are all from 2015/2016 years.

The reason for wanting to unlock them is so that I can put them in larger cards and store extra stuff at the same time or possibly store the maps in the device’s own memory.
