Garmin StreetPilot v2.33 + v2.37 app for Android All Multi Language.

Thanks for the response. I was able to figure it out, after checking the Android storage path using Total Commander. The key was to set the path using the apk file name patcher after copying the file folder to the phone.

Here is a step by step list for newbies for the future-:

Preparation -
***************
1. You do not need to jailbreak to get this app to work
2. As of July 2021 this works till Android 9, check post 1 for latest Android version supported
3. Connect phone to PC (not mandatory, but makes it easier). Make sure you are providing rights to browse the Android device and not just charge it (to the PC)
4. Create a base folder call StreetPilot or anything you like to call it in your PC, this is to host all the files you will be downloading, make sure you have 4-5 GB free to download maps as well
5. Download folder structure (3 .Rar files from Post 1 by Titanic). I did not understand how to merge the 3 .Rar files provided by Titanic. I used the merged download provided by Firefox in post 16 (which will give you a parent folder called "Garmin" when extracted). If you are downloading from post 1, you might have to create this Garmin folder name in your base folder above to extract the content of 3 .rar files downloaded from post 1 (i am still fuzzy on this, as i used what firefox provided as one download from post #16)
6. From Post 1 by Titanic download the latest Garmin Street Pilot APK file you want to use for Android version (this file name can be anything as named by Titanic). I used v2.33 for Android 8, but i think there is a 2.37 already. In future this will keep changing, check post 1 always for latest
7. Download the StreetPilot Path Changer tool latest version available. The version i used in July 2021 is available in post 16 for v3.0.1.
8. Download the map you need for your region from

9. Install a tool like Total Commander from Play Store to get the base path of your storage system as Android sees it.Make note of the base folder path , it will be something like /storage/../../Android/data

Install -
****************
1. From your PC navigate to your Phone's folder path - "This PC\<your phone name>\Internal shared storage\Android\data" folder.

2. Inside the /data folder create a new sub folder called "com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext", and inside that folder create another sub folder called "files". I think Android path names are case sensitive so use small case\title case as noted above

3. Copy the prepared "Garmin" folder you created during preparation in your PC (from the downloads extracted) as a sub folder to "/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/files" folder (see post #16 for ref)

4. Copy the .dmg? map file you downloaded for your region to the "/Garmin/Map" folder

This completes the file folder setup part. Next is signing the Garmin Street Pilot APK and installing it.

How to use the "StreetPilot Path Changer v3.0.1" -

1. During preparation above, you would have downloaded the Garmin Street Pilot APK x.xx from Post 1 in this thread
2. During preparation above, you would have also download the "StreetPilot Path Changer vx.x" file
3. Extract the .rar files, this will likely contain a folder name SSPC or similar which contains the SPpathchanger.exe
4. Run the SPpathchanger.exe as admin on your PC (admin access not mandatory), it will show a screen. In that click on Open button and pick the latest Garmin Street Pilot APK file from your PC that you wish to use.
5. Select 'New Path' option as 'Custom' and type the full path of folder you just created on your Android phone above as seen inside the Android phone from "Total Commander" app (not PC), i.e the folder created under /Android/Data. It will be something like below for internal storage, check examples for SD Card install from others; you have to modify the parts in red below as it is shown in Total Commanded app in your phone
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/files/Garmin
6. Step 5 is crucial as the app has to install to the same path in Android that you created manually with the files downloaded from post 1.
7. After pasting\typing the path in "Custom" option of the path changer app on your PC, click on Patch button in the App (on PC). It will create a new version of the APK file you just opened (in the same folder)
8. Move that new patched Garmin Street Pilot APK file to your phone's download folder via the PC
9. Disconnect phone device from PC
10. Navigate to download folder on Android phone and install patched Garmin Street Pilot APK that you just created \ patched for the custom path of your phone
11. Grant permissions requested during install
12. Open Garmin Street Pilot App on your phone and complete config options prompted by garmin

Enjoy your App. :-).

If you are not able to select Locales etc, please make sure you doing steps above in the correct order. (start over) for ex - Do not install the Street Pilot app and then copy the folder.
