Why can anon users view forum ?

Hmm.

Is it wise to have the forum open to guests, easy to find things
with google I guess but it also exposes this forum to DMCA and
other nasty things.

Is there any specific reason for a guest or anon person to be
able to view the forum.

I know links are hidden and so on but still, I think it would be
better to keep it more private away from search engines or ?
