On my C edition RNS510 On a passat B6 from 2011 I installed 5238 Josi update and got mapstool 3.0.3. because I couldn't find a double layer dvd anywhere. When I try to update the maps it takes a really long time and just goes to say SWL TIMEOUT as an error after which I have to use the firmware disk to boot the device again. The maps version is East Europe V17 (8555). Does anyone know what can be the issue? Also a link to MapsTool 3.0.7. Software would be greatly appreciated because I can not find it anywhere, not even using the WayBack Machine as the site of maptools went down some while back. :(

Thanks to anyone willing to help in advance!!

    Content download (folder: RNS.510.810.WEST.V17.SD.to.HDD):
    1. MAPS (folder)
    2. MAPSDVD (folder)
    3. EU_sd_to_hdd_fw.iso (file)
    4. welcome.mp3 (file)
    --------------------------------------------------
The ISO from position 3 is now burned onto an empty CD or DVD.
Positions 1, 2 and 4 are copied to the SD.
Now it goes to the RNS 510, the following steps are necessary.
(Engine switched off, key not in the ignition lock)

    01. Switch on RNS 510

    02. Insert the SD card

    03. Now a short audio file should be played (welcome.mp3) - so you know that the card is ok

    04. Press the SETUP + EJECT + MIC (INFO) buttons simultaneously until the RNS 510 goes out, then release

    05. Let RNS 510 start

    06. Insert the burned CD / DVD (see above)

    07. the RNS 510 restarts and shows a message about the upgrade / copy process -> confirm

    08. in the following 30min (approx.) The data will be copied - the progress is always at 31% - please do not be impressed by it

    09. When copying is complete, the RNS 510 switches off and restarts and displays a success message

It would be nice if I got the tools that you have because I checked the files and multiple sd cards and DVD's and they all seem fine. Sucks that mapstool site went down... Not even Internet Archive can replace those files.
