Default Making working copy of SD-card for the Discover Media navigation.

In my Volkswagen Passat I have a Discover Media system with navigation.
The navigation software is stored on a SD-card, which is provided by Volkswagen.
I want to make a working copy of that card, but till now that is not possible.
I tried a ordinary copy and making a bit-copy. Both did not work.

So my question is: Does anyone know how to make a working copy of the navigation SD-card for the Discover Media system?

By the way, the latest navigation update (October 2017 version 0915_MP171-1284.xEUR1) can be found at

    and the download is free.
You can only use it by coping it on your original Volkswagen SC-card.

Thank you for your answer, but this is a little too cryptic for me.
I understand that you advice me a samsung evo plus card, but what do you mean by "with rw cid......"?
And do you know any tool to do it with?

I am sorry but the RNS315 is a totaly different system than the Discovery Media. The don’t use the same software for card updates.

it may be a completely different system, but it is the technique behind it because you had no idea what CIC meant. that is why you were referred to this post to be able to read your bit in this matter.
