Nobody has to do that, it would also be pointless for your NB1 (wrong device-ID). Take your new SD, insert it into your NB1, switch it on and wait. Some files and folders are written to the SD. Then follow the instructions.

I get my Navi to work with the Europe 1040 9858 according to the instructions. in # 12

But it works very slow. I checked and compare it toaday with my old SD NB1 card and the original one work 2 times faster than my new one.

Before i started with everything i made a 1 to 1 copy of my old NB1 SD card to the new one. This one was working, also at the same speed. So it must depend on the formation of the card or the datas.

Is there a way to make the navigation system faster?

You can influence this only: Take an SD/microSD from speed 6, better 10. Formatting only with SDFormatter or similar flash-memory-tool (not Windows!) in FAT32.
Select for showing at the navigation screen only these POIs you really need, deactivate all the others (device settings).

That used to be a feature of leaving the arp*.dat files in place if you did not use a proper Mazda map and the files had to be deleted. As you are using a proper Mazda map these files should not be deleted.

I do not understand. What do you mean by "That used to be a feature"? Card class 6 or higher, the FAT32 formatting or the restriction to the most necessary POIs?

    Slow speed and erratic navigation.

But not when using an origin NB1 map (Europe_1040_9858), which used by the questioner.
In this case you can only use a better memory card and limit the number of active POIs.

The original TT-speedcams (file pairs *.ov/*.ver) only shown at the navigation screen if:
    1. you drive on a planned route (not in cruising mode, this is only the feature of POI-speedcams)
    2. you set these speed cameras as active in the device settings (TomTom Services)

If you want a permanent speedcam monitoring also in cruising mode, you must use 3rd-party speedcam POIs (file pairs *.ov/*bmp).

Tip for the future: if you want the same device settings as on your old map, copy the mapsettings.cfg of the old map into the new map folder. These file include all device settings like stored own favorites, poi settings, TT-speedcam settings, car symbol, home place etc.
