    Navcore Truck 9.702 WNRO Sirf3 GL2 Edition [DSA, Joghurt's, Speedy29, Charlie62]

    GPS Truck Navcore Truck 9.702 WNRO GO Sirf3 GL2 Edition [DSA, Joghurt's, Speedy29, Charlie62]

    First edition 12/07/2019
Second edition 02/08/2019 added some schemes
Third edition 30/09/2019 added flashing for SirfIII

Surely some users of TomTom Classic were awake on April 6 at 3 o'clock in the morning checking what was happening with the WNRO, others waited until the next day and others, a week before leaving on vacation take the dust out of their tomtom and realize that they haven’t got the time or later that they do not link satellites.

Those who start, are always asking for things. Sometimes they are already exposed and maybe for lack of time or because they think they do not have enough experience. The world is in a hurry, when they ask you for a 9702 WNRO for GO, you think ... but this user has read something? They go on and on ...

The theme of WNRO is new and if you are reading the thread, you will see that there are users with a very high level. There is really a before and an after WNRO, but the solutions that are working and must be tested are out there ... not only the WNRO solutions but there are also great posts where the incidents of the navcores truck are uncovered ... the rises of tonyzeta , the post where biggerdave separates downloads of 9702 for ONE x20, x30 etc., Alfred's comment on the original by providing a navcore, which has prepared charlie62 in the thread that comments the incidents, the alternative uploads of Yuriggg, the comments of pe1agp, downunder35, rusigor and endless information from different users that you should review. If some consider that they are written from some time ago, they do not cease to be valid, on the contrary this information is contrasted and settled.

After seeing the contributions that already exist, one thinks a little posting, it is simply a matter of respect, but in response to requests, I will do it, also abound in emulations as some decide.

As in everything, there are always personal preferences, whether with emulation or without emulation, that if original, DSA, TTuser etc.

We will see the issues WNRO and the Truck for those who start and as you are testing the DSA of this thread and all of the others, putting, taking out, creating your own original, etc. and you will be able to unwind with ease, the experience is taken by trying friends and, above all, remember that the difference between a beginner and a veteran is that the beginner has been wrong once and the veteran is 100 or more ...

As in many issues, on some issues rivers of ink have been spilled and the most veteran at the end they opt for what they consider more opportune, so that we will comment here on the options, generally, more used.

    Notes

The download contains a navcore DSA generated from the company's original 9.702 GO, adjusted for GO x20 x30 x40 x50 devices that incorporate the Global Locate 2 chip and Sirf III chip.

It incorporates the altimeter of Joghurt's, the on / off menu for suicide.dat of Speedy29 (Charlie62 traduction) and the Charlie62_phone_pack_for_DSA_QuickGPSfix.

The incidents that arise in your devices will be well received in the WNRO thread, much progress has been made but the well-reported incidents allow us to move forward.

    The emulation initial is slt=Self

It contains the folder "screen ---" that is to say disabled, to put it into service you leave it "screen", in the next boot it will work, if you press in the upper left corner, you will hear a click and a screen copy will be made. will allow you to access it later if you have saved what has been of interest.

Also included is the "text" folder in which you can include * .txt files of your interest, being able to read them from the device. There is a small text that talks about the emulations to prove it, you can delete it, and even the folder if you are not going to use it like screen---.

This is almost everything... in the download everything is included, however you can add what you need and remove what you do not use. Experience tells us that a new user finds it hard to "put" thinks “with how well it goes” instead remove is another thing, always has the original download ...

In the download of Charlie62 phone pack you can see what is on if you decide to remove it, but the truth is that it is very practical.

I have included some schemes, any mp3 and audiobooks for your emulation tests.

    Bootloader

The native bootloader in the 9702 Truck is the 5.5279 built-in but so "system5.5279", some will have another navcore in the internal one. The bootloader that is housed in the low memory, will be used by the internal and the SD navcore, so you should consider if you want to upload it if you have it lower, if you delete the 5.5279, leave it as system and at the next boot it will load.

    Instalation

The Truck map is great, 4,03 GB, unless you remove files, in the internal one it does not enter, so that one option would be to put the navcore truck in the internal memory, add a non-truck map of your country and your ttgo.bif and in a SD card of 4 GB minimum you put your ttgo.bif, the truck map and activate it, you would have one navcore and two maps.

Another quite common option is to have a navcore no truck, whatever it is, with the map of the country in the internal memory and the navcore truck and map truck in the SD, so, if in the future there is a strange one in SD you remove it and you can use the content of the internal even if it is not truck. This may be the most recommended option.

From the boot 5.5112 or greater are recognized the external memories of more than 4GB, at the moment the 32GB are economic, it is common to use class 4 since it corresponds with the benefits of when the devices came out, to comment that once asked, they were wrong and they sent me class 10 the brand was Kingston and it's going well, instead we've seen posts in which users comment that this or that brand was not recognized or seemed to be going well and then in a recalculation of route, which is when the card type is played, it collapsed.

The starting order is always, first SD, then internal.

Regarding which files to remove from the map to enter an internal memory of 4 GB it is not a matter of removing happily, if you remove files you lose functions, so it is a matter of assessing what you lose. The most sensible option of all the pointed ones is to substitute some files with those of a smaller map of the same series, as Downunder35 commented in his day. In this case for a certain country, you can pose the same with another country of your interest, the unique objective is that you can try if you do not have at the moment an external SD card.

The content of the table is for orientation and evaluation, the recommendation is always, take the complete map. Other mixed combinations would be possible.

    WNRO

In this download is not the pack of treysis for LG1, not apply.
In conversations with treysis, it comment that the first thing it does is ask ... you are LG1, if it is correct, continues, if not is correct, stoped.

It is an excellent colleague, I regret that an event in Barcelona was canceled, because we would have known each other personally, anyway if you read me you know that the beers are still in the fridge ...

With WNRO the first incident is wiht the hour. After with ephem expired in some devices there was no signal.

Will appear more observations, this is introductory to place us. It does not pretend to be an exhaustive table. On some devices continue to work advanced enthusiasts.

    (The last)

When we enter WNRO the question is not only the device itself, but the gps chip that it employs.

Ideally you should access your black screen to make sure, but x20, x30 use sirfIII and x40, x50 use GL2

All the solutions are implemented in the download and the ones your device needs will be applicable, the others do not interfere or apply, you can leave them or remove them.
For x40 and x50 with GL2, we get the glgps file from the bin folder of a navcore 9541 and copy it to the bin folder of the x40 x50 substituting the one that originally had the original date of that file is 11.12.2018

For x20 and x30 initially there were no incidents for the time, but as users commented on their incidents truck was observed in some devices, when it came to an end the future positions of the satellites contained in ephem were at zero and did not detect satellites and it was found that the effect of suicide.dat when generating a disconnection of the battery was usable to solve the non-detection. After a bit of discussion the theme finally speedy29 creates a menu, which translates charlie62, with which you can activate or deactivate suicide.dat. Another option is simply to perform a manual reset.
    Ephem, QuickGPSFix and suicide.dat

As you know, inside ephem are the files that have the expected location of the satellites and this, involves a shorter time to obtain a signal, but this is for a week or so. QuickGPSFix_v4.45 has been incorporated that obtains these TT files if going through TThome, this implies that even if you are away from home you can obtain them with any PC, download both and use the one that corresponds to you.

In fact in x20 x30 with suicide.dat, it is not necessary to have ephem, you must try it.

    Suicide.dat

Initially this file executes a total disconnection of the battery, whose original function is to preserve the battery in long stops.

Some users comment that with SirfIII x20 x30 and navcores 9.702, after the validity of ephem / quickfix their devices do not see satellites, the use of suicide.dat, has an effect that solves this incidence, when starting it up after being activated correctly it allows get satellites in two or three minutes,

With the Speedy29 menu is initially disabled, to put it into service the device should not be charged, only with battery, press enable to activate it and the device will restart, wait to see the main screen to say something and stop the device, with the device stopped, you wait for 20 seconds for example (always a time greater than the value that appears in the file) and you start it, now it is activated.

X40 x50 I leave suicide.dat or remove it from the root ... because I have it disabled, when I leave it, I will activate it, if you put the device into service regularly and leave it alone you will get satellites without major incidence even without ephem updated

    Updating ephem from any PC

Connect to the PC, access the device, run QuickGPSFix.exe and download lto.dat and packedephemeris.ee from the tomtom servers, the device will use the one you need, if they are saturated try a little later. (Text in blue OK, red text mmm... problems in the lines, server, have gone out to eat ...)

    Updating ephem with Android Smartphone

The users of DSA (DSA8310 Barcelona) knew the characteristic used to update QuickFIX, the passage of time left it out of service, Charlie 62, a good friend and a great enthusiast of the TomTom universe, studied the matter thoroughly and after innumerable searches and tests gave with an apk that installed under Android allows QuickFIX updates. It is implemented and within the download you have the free apk, installable on your Smartphone, the free version allows you to perfectly perform your task, at the end of the post you have the pack containing your pdf with detailed instructions.

x20 x30 Two or Three Panels

Originally x20 x30 have two information panels at the bottom, with a very simple modification, you can have three panels and see the maximum speed signal with navcore 9702, this has nothing to do with emulation, by default this applied, try it and choose, if you prefer with two panels, you just have to delete .1 and save.

x40 x50 9.702 three panels are native, not problem if you have .1 in text

    Emulation

Some navcores have appeared associated with a device and have characteristics and features that are distinctive.

An original navcore implemented in a device, will have its own or native emulation, but it is possible to make a device partially assume the behavior of another by emulating or modifying the navcore itself, so we can listen to TTS in a ONE, instead we cant implement ASR because the device itself physically does not have that capacity.

In the download the emulation is auto, that is, you will have the original native emulation of your device.

To test the different emulations you have to manually put them, simply change to the beginning of the line by the desired one without a semicolon in front, save and in the next boot you can already try it.

    Modern times

When the Fraunhofer Institute took out the mp3 format, even* tomtom I implemented it. The TCM antenna, the traffic subscriptions, LIVE options etc used to be a recurrent service used by people but with the passage of time have seen a decrease in their users.

Some time ago a user told me that he no longer had a TMC antenna and did not know whether to acquire one because in some countries he was doing well and in others he did not, I told him that if he had a smartphone, he could install TTA NDS with data, maps of some countries that are in parts. The whole occupies little space, if you go to Munich for example, when you are near you can take a look at the traffic ... and the same thing happens with other apps for the weather, fuels etc.

    Creation of your original navcore

Some users prefer to use original versions, others prefer the options given by emulation, so to be clear which one you prefer to use, you should try both, so what we are going to do first will be our original navcore 9.702, think you will be using the native emulation for your device, so you try it a few days.

Then you can try emulations DSA, TTUser and you will see which meets your expectations, now if you can compare and decide if you prefer original or emulation ...

The original navcore, 42,9 MB, you get it from here.

On an external 8GB SD / SDHC memory expansion card, formatted in FAT32, copies the 9.702.go_work-CAB-navcore-GO-WORK.cab obtained, right mouse click, extract here, once unzipped you can delete the * .cab

When you have it ready, you must patch the navcore, map etc.

Rename the system file as system5.5279 so that it does not interfere in your boot if you have another and then incorporate:

Map truck, Fastactivate and goal, Loquendo TTS v7 for Navcore9, Altimeter if you employ it.
Folders art, sounds, voices, bin with glgps of a 9.541, ephem according to your device...
Files splashw, antitheftw, lowbatteryw, your ttgo.bif...
Check that you have the right WNRO solution for your device, and in any case you can get what you need or compare with the download.

If the first does not work, calm review quietly and sure you will get it.

The original 9.702 and 9.701 cabs are no longer available from TomTom, does anyone have a copy I can download.
