    Default TomTom 5150 Pro Truck Problem

    Hello everybody, I have a problem with this device. TomTom starts with logo of truck, then restart many times. Restoring software in TT my drive connect does not work. The device initiates a connection with the program, but there is no progress. Please help.

    This is one of the newer devices that can't be accessed or repaired through traditional means so you'll have to speak to TomTom Support directly

    Why not ask the question on their discussion board but maybe just head the question as "How to reset a device that starts with the logo but then restarts many times" THEN you can mention in the post that it's a 5150 Pro Truck which should get more people reading and maybe some suggestions?

    TomTom 5150 Pro Truck Problem
    I think this may work. Do a few hard reboots, so you see, all is ok. Do it a couple of times, then and only then, do a reboot and reformat. Seriously, do the other ways a couple of times first, then the format or factory start up. you will need to have MyConnect, latest version and it should work.





    I had a similar problem with my GO5200 a while back when I changed SD Cards. I thought I had ****** it up. Things like updates etc just stopped undating saying it was up to date, when knowing it wasn't. TT Help was as ever useless



    So the the usual hold down power and hold it for reboot at least 2 times. perhaps 3 times.



    Then and only then, do the menu option and format. Do not try before as it will not work

    It worked for me
    One day, someone might make things work perfectly before release. Sadly not in my or your lifetime. At least by finding problems and sorting them, we are still alive.
