Default Truck 8.398 navcore on a TT One v4 advice needed.

I have put navcore 8.398 on a tt one v4 using DSA running an XL skin (option 35) and truck map v901.4683 and it's all running o.k with
varying free memory of 10.6 - 12.3MB. The problem I have is that when setting the width of the vehicle to 11' the map still tries to route
me down a lane that's 8' wide. The lane is the fastest and shortest way to the main road but a truck certainly won't pass through.
Do I need to download anything else from TomTom? Also, what is the lowest amount of free memory that the unit would successfully run on without freezing?

I don't know much about the DSA version but I would recommend you try the last attachment from here

Regarding rerouting down a narrow lave, this certainly shouldn't happen if you've set the truck dims correctly.
I'm thinking that maybe that 8' lane is not mapped as such? You could try using map corrections & actually changing the lane width to 8'

Thanks for the quick reply, it's much appreciated.

I tried the version dump that you mention but I have just under 5mb of free memory using the version 4 option (8.398-x00-one-one-xl)
and I was unsure about the free memory needed if I wanted to use any poi's such as speed camera's. I have played with DSA in the past and found it very good
so I ran the truck cab through it to see what extra memory it would give me. I have set the dimensions much greater than I need for a large camper van and chose the truck option
at 5 ton, 2 ton per axel, length 28', height 15' and width at 11'.

You may be right about the lane not being mapped at the correct width so will try with a few other lanes
around where I live. As I live out in the sticks that will be quite easy, I will let you know what happens. Once again thanks for your reply.

    thats the only answer

there are a lot of these faults in the map
only option is to correct it yourself in "map corrections"

............and free memory shouldn't be a problem with any of these SE/DSA versions even with quite a few POI's showing (remember that TT speedcams aren't POI's anyway so won't burn up memory)

Before you end up stuck in a narrow lane again why not try to change the width of that lane anyway then recalc the route & see what happens?
