Live service Bar on a 540 with truck
I was wondering why I did not have the full screen on this 540? I have put the truck software on the 540 but the live service bar is at the side. The last one I did for my husband it just gave me a full screen...and no side bar for live services...Have I done something wrong?

i think what you see is tmc rds traffic-bar , not live service
its a narrow strip at the right side of screen , right ?
if so , you did nothing wrong , its a hickup , with no real solution
if your window-dock is similar as of 710 , ( separate window-dock with pins ) then you can block it
if you have no dock ( suction-mount direct on device ) then you cannot remove the bar AFAIK

The bar on right side of screen it is just traffic status bar. On GO540 it will be visible untill your subscription expiry date. It will dissapear after that (as on mine). Or you can try to switch off traffic info trough menu/live services/traffic, if you don't like this traffic bar on right.
As I wrote above - I don't have live services (all what I need I can find in my android phone ;-) ), so my bar dissapear. It going back, when I connect traffic antenna.
And -regarding to your first post - Full screen live services.... I think, you mean traffic, etc. in s/w 9.xx series...
Unfortunately the truck s/w is 8.xx series that don't have this "fancy" option. You can get full acces to live services only trough menu icon.... And it will look quite different... sorry.

Hi Kazupp, I have tried alsorts to try to remove this bar, its the first 540 I have had which I can not remove! I have tried blocking the pins apart from 1 and 15...this did not work...I have tried the ttpnpd file...coppied to the root of the directory, this still did not work...if I take the sd card out with the truck on this card...The system reboots and the bar disappears..its very anoying..hubby keeps banging on about it...oh well ? Keep plodding on...

From my experience - as long as you have got valid subscription for LIVE services, you can't remove this traffic bar. In my go540 the status bar dissapear when subscription expired.
You must remember that truck software is not dedicated for go540, so it can be just another incompatibility.
blocking pins - it's absolute BALONEY. it's software, not hardware problem.

the fact that it works on my 710 , does not mean it works on all devices
however , its not BALONEY
software and hardware are related to each other
and , i never had a subscription for LIVE services , and i never will
