Good afternoon, I have a problem with the same device, because I bought it on Ebay, and I can only use it as a User, Owner rights from the previous owner, and I can't do anything. Only update via microSD, limited access in the settings. Maybe there is someone who has the recovery_system_update firmware file.zip ?

I don't understand where to get recovery_system_update.zip, or just rename the entire 10 gb file to recovery_system_update.zip ???or is it in some folder???

try it with a empty sd card on which you put the rescue image from the download. watch the movie in the link to see how to get the device in recovery mode.

If that dont work create a map named sdupdate on a empty sd card.
unzip the rescue img in the map sdupdate.

I did this, but it did not return the tablet to factory settings, but simply updated the maps and the Android version to 5.0. I need a file that will completely flash the tablet with the removal of all settings.

if that tomtom is registered with an account then the same goes for a smartphone
you must know the password of that email
if you do not remember the password then use the PC and at the Login of the tomtom site you type on the forgotten password and it makes you reset the password, it sends you a link to that email
if you can't do it then it means that you do not have that tomtom's email and therefore it means that it is not yours, so find the real owner and ask if it does the password reset, if you can't do it then you can't do it nothing, this is normal tomtom protection against fraud!
