GPS satellite updates
There doesn't seem to be any satellite position updates being offered by TTHome for v9700 truck navcore with v905.4798 map, anyone else having this problem?
Mapshare updates are being offered though. I am running a DSA version on an old Go300 and it would not be a problem if I was keeping the unit but I am giving it to a m8 for use in his camper van.imlost Reviewed by imlost on . Re: GPS satellite updates
I have tried both your versions and Simba's versions with the same result, no updates. I know that I can update other ways but as I am giving this unit away to a m8 I want to get it more or less idiot proof. I will try creating a few different versions using DSA but thanks for the suggestion.

Re: GPS satellite updates
Very interesting, I was going to post something similar earlier on today. I have just updated a ONE XL which now has 9.700 (One xl) and it picked up GPS fairly quickly. Then (stupidly) allowed tt home to install Quickfix. The device then couldn't pick up a workable signal. I then ran Fastactivate's new quickfix and it came back to life.
I think that tomtom wrongly installed the Sirfstar ephemeris data instead of the correct Globalocate stuff. This might explain why no error occurs with the the GOx30's etc.

Re: GPS satellite updates
It seems that the Go300 doesn't have an ephem folder by default so may not need the updates. It is fitted with a sirf 2 gps receiver but I am not sure if this just picks up the signals as I did a restore via TTHome to it's original navcore and nothing to do with satellites was installed.

Re: GPS satellite updates
OK, I'm not sure then. I don't think I would worry too much about yours. Remember Quickfix didn't exist when the original 300 navcore was made. Once your friend has it switched on outside for 5 mins all should be fine thereafter. Just for the record the tt home quickfix definitely slowed mine right down.
