Warning, truck navcores 9.700/9.701/9.702 appear to be faulty!
On many forums we are now starting to see reports (thanks Pesado & others) about errors with this navcore NOT routing according to your vehicle profile (under low bridges etc) which is very dangerous so either use it at your own risk or revert to the stable 8.398 truck navcore for now
We hope/assume that TT will eventually get their act together and fix this with the next release (whenever THAT is)biggerdave Reviewed by biggerdave on . It seems to have been a compatabilty problem between the 901 map & this 9.700 navcore.
However, current reports are now confirming that the 905 map & 9.700 navcore work correctly (AND that this latest 905 map does NOT run on the older 8.398 navcore)

Re: Warning, truck navcore 9.700
bull
its a crappy navcore , but we had much worse in the past
and , its not dangerous , lets be glad there finally exist a v9 truck version
if you dont like it , use v8 instead
i will use it until i find serious mistakes , which not occurred yet
despite the several errors and compatibility issues , i prefer this version above 8.398

It is sure that I will use 8398 while it is not solved.
I show this one in Portugal; I know other one in Spain and two partners stumbled in France....
Look at the screenshots: they refer to the N14 in Trofa, Portugal, passing under a railway bridge .....
.......)
the limitation is: towards the north "limitation of height 3.5 m", and towards the south "limited to all trucks" and "limitation of height 3.5 m" .....
(....
(On your map the limitation will be wider, I have it corrected to the real stretch)
If we prepare a route with this configuration between the extremes, towards the north, it is done by skipping the limitation in planning (precisely the most necessary), (but if we are on the point it shows us the warning.
the correct route is traced by the 8398

re: Warning, truck navcores 9.700/9.701/9.702 appear to be faulty!
^^^
that means there are errors in map ( Tmeta or truck.dat or something , who knows ) but not navcore
i did similar demo's in my erea , where restrictions were avoided normally
N 51°50.700' , E 4°29.399' <<=>> N 51°50.176' E 4°32.130'

Perfect this route and many more, the dangerous ones are those that it plans badly!!!!
The maps (900; 901; 905) are correct, but 9700 it plans badly.

re: Warning, truck navcores 9.700/9.701/9.702 appear to be faulty!
one more time : its the map , not the navcore that sends us in the wrong direction
map and navcore work together as one
one day Tomtom will make a map and navcore that is correct and without an error
but , please , don't hold your breath waiting for it

re: Warning, truck navcores 9.700/9.701/9.702 appear to be faulty!
One more time (again) is that there ARE unexplained problems using Truck maps 900/901/905 with 9.700 (which is the only truck navcore you can run the 905 map with) BUT not with 900/901 & 8.398, so either way, there's a problem which we assume TT will finally resolve
