    I beleieve that to have more option didn't mean that you lose your preferite functions.
    Any user can need different function.
    And with a switch anyone can decide if prefer to use or not the feature.

    If you have an option like "--nopause" that suppress "Press any key to continue" to the end it's possible to use the function that you like and other users can download some maps with differnt feature without to wait the end to press a key to continue.

    For you function is possible to add an option for log output (like --log xxx.txt).

    As I explained to have both features (my and your proposal) don't mean that one of us lose something.

    @master131

    Request for improvement.

    Currently TTActivator read TTGO.BIF but seems did'nt check/read loopback.ext file (Carminat).
    I can fix it rebnamung loopbacjk.ext as ttgo.bigf.

    Could you please modify the app to search/read also directly file "loopback.ext"?

    Thanks.

    OT: I think it's easier to make up a ttgo.bif from the data in loopback.ext than to have master131 go to the trouble of changing the TTA. Then put this in the root of theSD, and the TTA will recognize the device. Just so, my opinion

    What's the negative point to add this file search?

    Then any user get it works without any manual change.

    Otherwise the user should remind to read the forum, check the info in the post,a dn rename the file, or post to ask it.

    loopback.ext is a file of an EXT3 file system. In Linux (and, presumably Android) it can be mounted as a loopback device then explored as another drive and then, presumably, the data could be extracted. I don't believe Windows has any native way of reading EXT2/3/4 file systems even if you can mount the file as a loopback device. It is so much easier if the user can just create the ttgo.bif from TTHome.

    @NickJH

    Is not necessary to mount the loopback.ext file.
    TTActivator search just the string of DeviceID and didn't mount the file.
    Infact it works the trick to rename the file "loopback.ext" ad "TTGO.BIF" becuase TTActivator search just the DeviceID.

    So you also can copy the “loopback.ext” and rename the copy in “Ttgo.bif”.
    Than you will be ready for everything.

    there many workaround for this issues.
    But are workaround that reuire how can do and remind it..
    Most of the people that can use this tool has no knloledge to remind it then if in next version of the application can do it itself automatically could be better for all users.

    The point was that your simple way doesn't seem to work....also the file is not called *.ext, but *.ex3...if someone has managed to change this so that TTA understands the device, I would like to see the way and the screenshots to do it.....under Windows...because that's what we're talking about, right?

    Edit: I try it, and it does´nt work
